We aren't interested in your interpretation of a role or your ideas about a role. We only want to see YOU. We are interested in seeing how YOU are affected. When you are trained to experience yourself in the given situations of the character you stop playing ideas and concepts and start experiencing yourself. That's what gets you the job. You!

First and always, you are more interesting than any ideas you have about the character. Actors start booking jobs because, as they are forced to start working more and more with who they are - bringing themselves to the role - they begin to trust themselves. They trust their choices, their instincts. They trust that they are enough. With that trust comes a greater sense of ease, confidence, relaxation and effortlessness.
